The Sierra Company, LLC team is a small group of seasoned, independent professionals that have negotiated
many transactions and personally owned and operated at least one substantial Company of their own. The
group is lead by the Company’s President and Owner, Mike Grande. Mike is also a Director
at SDR Ventures, Inc., one of Denver's top Investment Banking Firms. He is
an experienced merger and acquisition intermediary, business owner and management consultant with over 25 years of experience.
Mike has completed an extensive number of transactions throughout the US. He has also personally purchased, operated
and sold a Management Consulting firm, Marine Dealership, and RV Storage and Service Company. He was the Director of Management
Consulting for a top ten national accounting and consulting firm for over eight years and has direct consulting, merger acquisition
and business valuation experience with some of the top private companies in the western US. He has worked with close to 100
clients in the $2 to $100 million annual sales range, and in a number of industries including manufacturing, service, retail,
construction, food and beverage, distribution and dealerships.
Mike has a degree
in Management from the University of Oregon, an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Denver and he studied international
business at the University of London. Mike has a Series 79 (Investment Banking Representative) license
and is a Certified Business Intermediary(CBI), a Certified Management Consultant(CMC), a
Certified Negotiation Expert(CNE) and he holds a Colorado Real Estate license. He has
taught business classes at the University of Denver and the University of Phoenix. Mike has been on the
board of directors of several companies as well as the Colorado Marine Dealers Association, Institute of Management Consultants
and Urban Peak – a non-profit charitable organization.
Dick Winter has been completing
mergers and acquisitions for over 30 years. He has a degree in accounting from the University of Illinois in addition to attending
UCLA in post graduate studies. He as been Chief Financial Officer in 3 different companies with budgets from $30,000,000 to
$75,000,000. Dick has authored 2 business/financial books and he has purchased and sold several companies personally, so he
understands the buyers and sellers needs. With his extensive accounting and financial knowledge and his merger and acquisition
experience, he is often called upon as an expert witness in business valuations legal cases.
